Tarantula Spider in tall grass

  • Saw endangered species Golden-cheeked Warbler at watering drip near house
  • Added new water drip in new backyard
  • Saw small Possum at feeding area with Raccoons
  • Saw Rock Squirrel and three Gray Squirrels in new clearing behind house
  • Watered throughout
  • Shot female Brown-headed Cowbird (predator control)
  • Refreshed all Hummingbird feeders
  • Observed future clearing of dead trees
  • Planted ten Yaupon seeds collected from trees at river bottom in new clearing behind house
  • Scored and planted 45 Mountain Laurel seeds throughout
  • Waterted in new clearing
  • Put out leftover Hummingbird sugar water feeding solution for bees

  • Saw two large fallen Amercian Elm trees at river bottom land
  • many dead Ashe Junipers throughout
  • Saw a male and female Painted Bunting
  • relocated wood pile feeding area
  • Refreshed Hummingbird feeders, many hummers! Added 2 more feeders
  • Added mulch to the driveway and roads throuhout

  • arranged logs on the ground on contour for ersion control in recently cleared area
  • Red Oak limb fell as strong north wind blew through
  • many Hummingbirds, around 50, may have come in with the strong wind

  • Raccoons waiting for our arrival at feeding area under house proch
  • Possum waaiting at feeding area in wood pile feeder
  • removed selected Ashe junipers for fire safety
  • refreshed all Hummingbird feeders
  • Skunk at feeding area

 

Skunk, Raccoon and Possum share sunflower seeds and dogfood in feding area
