Lots of butterflies with orange trim after a hard 1 inch rain.

Baby turtle rescued from the road crossing at Cypress Creek. Took to water trough. Hard to find again. Relocated in a sand bucket and took to river. Appears to be a Western Chicken turtle.

January, February, March activities

  • Animals seen and heard:
    • Turkey vultures
    • Titmouse visited bird feeder with large sunflower seeds
    • Butterflies - yellow, orange, black and yellow
    • Raccoon
    • Listened for but did not hear Golden-cheeked warbler
    • Cow bird
    • Lots of turkeys in the PM
    • Saw frog at water trough, large 3 inch Leopard frog
  • Wren house fell down from strong winds
