  • Saw two large fallen Amercian Elm trees at river bottom land
  • many dead Ashe Junipers throughout
  • Saw a male and female Painted Bunting
  • relocated wood pile feeding area
  • Refreshed Hummingbird feeders, many hummers! Added 2 more feeders
  • Added mulch to the driveway and roads throuhout

  • arranged logs on the ground on contour for ersion control in recently cleared area
  • Red Oak limb fell as strong north wind blew through
  • many Hummingbirds, around 50, may have come in with the strong wind

  • Refreshed all Hummingbird feeders, six were empty, suspect bees finished the sugar water.
  • Saw Fox
  • Rain! 6 inches in one hour

  • put out flags to mark the contours of the land to lay down cut limbs after pruning
  • Refreshed all Hummingbird feeders
  • changed water filter in Rain Barn
  • filled man-made pond with well water
  • no White Winged Doves seen

  • Saw very many Verbena flowers on slope at feeding area

Caretakers note: This sloped area has improved with the addition of dirt berms to slow down erosion
