  • Saw large flock of Chipping Sparrows

This Savannah Sparrow watched as the caretaker put out millet seed along the fence line in the upper pasture.

Here It is looking for the millet seed

And it found the special treat only offered in the winter time to avoid attracting nest parasite, the Brown -headed Cowbird

  • Relocated 200 mosquito fish and 50 tadpoles from muddy pond to holding tanks and house pond in preparation for new pond design
  • Relocated water drips for widllife in shallow bowl away from uphill of house to avoid drainage into basement
  • Built brush pile for lizards

  • Installed "Mega Spikes" on roof ridge to keep Vultures from perching on Rain water collecting roof for household use. A product from Bird-B-Gone.

  • Saw 3 Possums and a Ringtail Cat at the seed bowl feeders on the porch at night.
  • Marked China Berry trees to remove at river bottom land
  • Consulted about muddy pond
  • Saw Osprey
  • Removed 8 large China Berry Trees and treated with stump remover
  • Rescued Golden-cheeked Warbler from seed feeder.

Canyon Wren at the meal worm bowl. The bowl was covered with a thin layer of dog food crumbs to keep the bees away. It is the only thing found that will discourage the bees, but not the birds. Little songbirds to not mess with bees. This photo was taken from inside the house through a bird-screened window.
